Award-winning family business Gundowring Finest Ice Cream will cease production in 2024.

After 20 incredible years, our family has made the difficult decision to hang up our ice cream scoops and close our Gundowring Finest Ice Cream business.

We set out to share real, honest ice cream made from fresh farm milk and quality local ingredients, and it’s been an honour to win loyal fans and industry awards along the way. But the rising cost of production has forced us to contemplate the future of the business, and we’ve made the difficult decision to cease production from 2024.

For now it’s business as usual. We’ll continue making ice cream through to the end of 2023, so there’ll be plenty of Gundowring favourites to lick and love over the summer months.

To our loyal customers: we’re so grateful for your support. We’ve loved celebrating our region’s dairy industry and producers with you - and putting a sticky smile on your face!

We also want to thank our incredible Gundowring community: the farmers and producers who’ve supplied us, the staff who’ve invested heart and soul working in our family business, and the local champions who have supported us, always.

Our family is excited to set new goals and explore new possibilities in this incredible community of ours in North East Victoria.

It might be last licks for Gundowring Finest Ice Cream, but we’re a family of makers and doers, and Gundowring Fine Foods is a legacy we’re incredibly proud of… so watch this space.

Terms and Conditions of Gundowring Finest Ice Cream Gundowring 'N' Chill Competition

Terms and Conditions for Gundowring Finest Ice Cream’s’ Competition “Gundowring ‘N’ Chill” for one winner in each city/region of Melbourne and High Country Victoria to win 12 tubs of (various flavoured) 500ml Gundowring Ice Cream and a “Gundowring” beanie to be picked up from a participating Gundowring Ice Cream Retailer. Winners will be notified through their social media direct message and a participating retailer will be determined on the winner’s locations. (Value: $200 - per winner). 

Instructions on how to enter and win prizes form part of these conditions of entry. 

Participation in this promotion is deemed accepting of the terms and conditions of entry. 

The promotion is open to all residents willing to travel to a Gundowring Ice Cream Retailer within a 15km radius of Melbourne or within the High Country and aged 18 years and over. 

Employees of the Promoter, and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter Gundowring Ice Cream’s competitions. 

Competition Details: Engage with Gundowring Ice Cream’s Facebook or Instagram post detailing the Gundowring ‘N’ Chill  competition and comment with the name of another person to be eligible to win. Winners are picked at random with an online generator. 

1. Entrants must like Gundowring Ice Cream on Facebook/follow Gundowring Ice Cream on Instagram and comment on the Gundowring Ice Cream competition post, and be aged 18 years and over to be eligible to win. 

2. The winner of this competition will be chosen at random. Entrants will be asked for their full name, email address, date of birth, and contact phone number upon winning - this will be provided to Gundowring Ice Cream.

3. Unlimited entries allowed per person. 

4. The Promoter acknowledges that this promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook/Instagram. 

5. Entrants must be willing to have their name published on Gundowring Ice Cream Facebook/Instagram page.
